Dr. Koffer started in 1996 from a small factory in Dusseldorf, Germany. The factory made elegant travel bags and trunks, or Koffers. Hence, the name Koffer, the German word for trunk. These Koffers were made to be both beautiful and strong, a testimony to the skill of their makers and a status symbol for their owners.
